MOBOT Celebrates Juneteenth

MOBOT Celebrates Juneteenth

At MOBOT, we believe that it's essential to celebrate this holiday, with members of our team spending today at peaceful marches, investing time in learning about history, human rights and connecting with family and friends.

Celebrating Juneteenth.

Juneteenth—also known as Freedom Day and Black Independence Day—is an American holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth begs us to consider the promises of freedom not yet fully realized in the USA.

At MOBOT, we believe that it's essential to celebrate this holiday, with members of our team spending the day at peaceful marches, investing time in learning about history, human rights and connecting with family and friends.

It’s important to look at all of the good work we have achieved together and to brainstorm ways we can continue to progressively change as a community for the better. We encourage you to use today to deepen your anti-racism knowledge through education —we've listed a few resources in our bio to read, watch, listen to, and explore.

For added inspo, we have published Ryan Phillips, MOBOT CCO, photography from the recent #AllBlackLivesMatter March in Santa Monica to Hollywood, where Pride and BLM combined forces to communicate that (every!) black life matters. Take a look at the truly moving tribute below.

Enjoy and happy Juneteenth! 🖤
